Free Instagram Giveaway Picker With No Login: Why It's the Safer Choice
A giveaway picker only needs the link to a public post, because the comments are already public. A tool that asks for your Instagram password is asking for access to your account that the job does not require.

What does a giveaway picker actually need?
To pick a random winner, a picker needs the list of comments on the post. On a public account, those comments are visible to anyone who opens the post, logged in or not. So the only input a picker needs is the post link.
The GiveawayPicker Instagram picker works this way: paste a post or Reel link, choose how many winners, draw. It reads the comments live, removes duplicate entries, draws the winners and keeps nothing afterwards.
Why is asking for your Instagram login a risk?
Handing a third-party tool your Instagram login gives it access to your whole account, when picking a winner only needs one public post.
- Account takeover. A password stored by a third party is only as safe as that party's security.
- Unwanted actions. A tool with your login can follow, like, comment or message on your behalf.
- Security locks. Instagram may flag a login from an unfamiliar server as suspicious and lock or challenge your account, sometimes in the middle of a giveaway.
- More data than needed. A logged-in session can see your DMs, followers and insights, none of which a draw needs.
No-login vs login-based pickers compared
A no-login picker can do everything a draw needs except read private accounts, while a login-based picker trades account safety for that one extra.
| No-login picker | Login-based picker | |
|---|---|---|
| What you give it | A public post link | Your Instagram username and password, or account access |
| Can act on your account | No | Yes |
| Can read your DMs and insights | No | Often |
| Works on private accounts | No | Sometimes |
| Risk of an Instagram security lock | None | Possible |
The one thing a no-login picker cannot do is read a private account's comments. The simple fix is to make the account public for the draw. If that isn't an option, copy the entrant names into the random name picker, which runs entirely in your browser.
Is a free giveaway picker really free?
On GiveawayPicker, yes: one draw a day is free with no signup, and each draw picks up to five winners. The free draw reads the most recent comments on the post. A subscription removes the daily limit and scans every comment, which matters on very large posts. Neither version ever asks for your Instagram login.
How do you spot an unsafe picker?
An unsafe giveaway picker asks for more access than reading public comments requires, or hides how it reaches the result.
- It asks for your Instagram password or a “Log in with Instagram” step just to read comments.
- It asks you to install a browser extension that can read every page you visit.
- It hides the draw and only shows a winner, with no count of entries.
- It has no privacy policy explaining what happens to the comments it reads.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free Instagram giveaway picker with no login?
Yes. GiveawayPicker picks a random winner from any public Instagram post or Reel using only the post link, with no signup and no Instagram login. One draw a day is free.
Is it safe to use an Instagram comment picker?
It is safe when the picker only needs the post link. Avoid pickers that ask for your Instagram password, because handing over your login gives a third party access the draw doesn't need.
Why can't a no-login picker read my private account?
Comments on a private account are only visible to approved followers, so reading them would require logging in. Make the account public for the draw or use a random name picker with a copied list.
Does GiveawayPicker store the comments it reads?
No. Comments are read live for the draw and discarded. The site's privacy page describes the small amount of data it does keep: a one-line record of each draw (platform, post, time and address) that enforces the daily limit.
Can Instagram ban me for using a giveaway picker?
A picker that only reads a public post through its link does nothing on your account, so there is nothing for Instagram to act on. The account risk comes from tools that log in as you.
The Instagram giveaway picker is free, needs no login and picks up to five winners from a public post in one draw.
